Testimonial Tuesday

“I was a wounded learner. Before I started with Learning for All, I had 9th grade comprehension skills, a high vocabulary, but a poor working memory. LFA created an environment that supported what I had learned before and built upon it. It helped that I never felt pressured into learning. While my work with LFA and using Barton was a struggle at first, I am now able to read a normal page without the severe reactions of dyslexia and have learned coping skills to help keep my place on the page. While I still have struggles with my working memory, I have improved to a noticeable degree. Going through Barton has helped my confidence in reading and because of my new confidence, I now feel like I'm able to complete college.” D.V. – Adult Learner
