About the Event

Curious about the Feuerstein Method that LFA offers?  The Feuerstein Method is a unique educational technique developed by world-renowned psychologist Reuven Feuerstein. It is a process-based approach, focusing on developing the vitally important, and often overlooked, skill of learning how to learn, subsequently tapping into an individual’s latent intellectual capabilities.

Rachel Herman, Founder and Executive Director of Learning for All will be presenting in her lecture,Dyslexia and Deficient Cognitive Functions: Using FIE to Support Reading Remediation, an exploration of the characteristics of dyslexia and map them to deficient cognitive functions using Reuven Feuerstein’s model. We will discuss the essentials of effective reading instruction and how FIE can support Orton-Gillingham protocols for dyslexia remediation.
