About the Event

Join LFA for a parent information night led by Therapeutic Tutor, Daniel Ireton. This monthly webinar, followed by a Q&A session, will take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m, beginning October 6, 2021. Throughout the year, we will be discussing a wide variety of topics, including identifying learning differences, along with discussing tools and interventions to support your child. Daniel will be sharing information about Barton Reading and Spelling, ways to enhance cognition through games and mediation, and support for building math skills, handwriting skills, and executive functioning skills.  Daniel Ireton is a Certified Cognitive Mediator and a Certified Barton Instructor.  Check back for a list of upcoming topics!

 In this first session, we will be covering:

  • What is dyslexia?
  • What is Barton Reading and Spelling?
  • Overview of Foundation in Sound and Barton Level 1 and 2- building phonemic awareness
  • Ways to support your learner at home
